Resolution Section 700.14 B. 1. a. An off-premise sign shall not be permitted within 20 feet of the right-of-way line of any street or highway. Applicant is proposing the sign to be located 17’ 11 ¾” from the road right-of-way, for a variance of 2’ ¼”.
Resolution Section 700.14 B. 1. b An off-premise sign shall be setback a minimum of five hundred (500) feet from the right-of-way of the intersection of any public roads, as measured from the edge of the nearest road right-of-way to the nearest portion of the off-premise sign. Applicant is proposing the sign to be located 17’ 11 ¾” from the road right-of-way, for a variance of 482’ ¼’.
Resolution Section 700.14 B. 1. C. Required Spacing between Signs: An off-premise sign shall not be erected any nearer than one-thousand (1,000) feet from any other off-premise sign or an on-premise ground sign, as measured from the base of each sign. The Brimfield Historical Society sign is closest in proximity to the proposed location of the off-premise sign at 127’ away. A variance of 873’ is being requested.
Resolution Section 700.14 B. 1. g. Other Setbacks: An off-premise sign shall be placed no closer than fifty (50) feet from all other property lines, as measured from the nearest lot line to the nearest portion of the off-premise sign. Applicant is proposing the sign to be located 17’ 11 ¾” from the property line, for a variance of 32’ ¼”.
Resolution Section 700.12 A. 2.1. Sign face shall not exceed twelve (12) square feet. Applicant is requesting a 21-square-foot sign with two faces, requiring a variance of 30 square feet.
Resolution Section 700.12 A. 2. 2. Overall height shall be no greater than six (6) feet. Applicant is proposing a 9’ 7” tall sign, requiring a variance of 3’ 6”.
